Since his early childhoodyears, Manuel Cuevas is under the spell of Flamenco.

He sucked it in with his mother’s milk as every member of his family devotes themselves fully to Flamenco.
Very soon in his career , he has gained a lot of First Prices in the local Saeta-and Flamenco-contests.

His victory at the famous Festival Cante de las Minas , where he gained the very prestigious Lámpara Minera , lead to his real break-through.

He is a loyal follower of the most pure essentialities of the Cante. In this manner, he refuses to perform P’atrás and he only wants to go on stage accompanied only by Fernando Rodriguez ,his guitarist.

What is unique is the force and the range of his voice whit which he conquers audience after audience.

Manuel Cuevas is a Cante Jondo-singer. Besides of Seguiriyas, Soleares and Tonás , he also shows a preferance for the Cantes de Levante. His rich repertoire consists also of Fandangos, Bulerías, Malagueñas, …and even Peteneras and Bamberas.

He impresses and he touches. Flamencologists talk about “ a great gain for the Arte Flamenco”.

This revelation is ready for his first concerts, outside Spain.
