Macarena Ramirez is one of the most remarkable talents of the contemporary flamenco world.
Macarena Ramirez Cepero, from Chiclana de la Frontera (Cádiz) was born on the 16th December of 1992. Meanwhile licentiate in Danza Española, she started dancing at the age of 4. At the age of eight, she was known in all Spain as winner of the TV talent show program "Veo Veo". Together with a number of famous artists she featured on a DVD known as "Flamenco and Jerez". At the age of 12 she was given a starring role in the film about the life of the Spanish artistic icon: "Lola Flores, la pelicula". She plays the role of Lola Flores herself as a thirteen year old. Meanwhile, she is also part of the Compañia de Antonio el Pipa as a soloist! With this group she has already performed in the greatest theaters of Russia, Los Angeles, Costa Rica, Mexico, France ...
In 2009, she received recognition at the Concurso Internacional de Ubrique. In 2010, the flamenco singers Mariana Cornejo and Carmen de la Jara invited her for their Spanish tour .
In 2011 she starred in a French movie called "Vert, j'aime vert". This along with dancer Cristina Hoyos. In that same year, she also won the renowned competition "Desencaja" in the province of Cádiz.
She received her training from Maestros such as Antonio el Pipa, Maria del Mar Moreno, Andrés Peña, Pili Ogalla, Lydia Cabello ... She also participated in internships with Manuela Carrasco, Belen Maya, Alicia Marquez, Aida Gomez, Rocio Molina .. . Nowadays she perfects her dancing in the Centro Andaluz de Danza, an Award winning institute in Seville, where only the elite of the young generation may follow a course with instructors as Ana Maria Bueno, Rubén Olmo, Francis Nunez, Rocio Coral ....
