Marisol Valderrama (1978) has her roots in the andalucian Cádiz, the mythical Spanish port which can also be called home town of the Arte Flamenco.

She started dancing flamenco at the age of five and received her real flamenco training from dancer Antonio Martinez. Here, her exceptional talent soon became clear and at a very young age already, she became part of his dancing company. With programmes such as “Yerma” and “Fuego” she visited some of the most important theatres in Belgium, France, Germany and Holland.

In Spain, she apprenticed herself to such masters of flamenco dancing as Joaquin Grilo, Alejandro Granados, Javier La Torre, Adrian Galia, Manolete, Ana Cali, Chiqui de Jerez, Carmen Cortés and Belen Maya.

Step by step she created her own style and this was soon noticed in the world of dancing:
In 2001 she danced with the “Amistad” group.
In 2002 she gave dancing lessons at the “International Dance Convention” in Brussels.
In 2004 she worked with singer Belle Perez for her theatre tour “Baila Perez”.
For about five years now, she teaches at a number of the most renowned schools of flamenco dancing in Belgium.
